National Home Care Month
Each November, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) celebrates National Home Care Month, National Hospice Month, and Home Care Aide Week (November 11-17) to honor care giving heroes who make a remarkable difference in the lives of patients and the families they serve. The themes for this year are:

Community Project
For this year’s celebration, AAHC has developed a statewide project, "Being Prepared on the Home Front". Members are invited to help a family be better equipped for an emergency. Recent studies show that most families are not prepared to be without basic services for even a short period of time. By helping a family create a Plan and assemble an Emergency Kit, Home Health Care Providers can help lessen the impact of disasters and reduce the fear and disruption that accompany emergencies. Governor's Proclamation
The Honorable Governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer, has issued a proclamation designating the month of November as Arizona Home Health Care Month.

PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the Arizona Association for Home Care (AAHC), founded in 1983, is the nonprofit members organization providing a unified voice for the home health industry,
WHEREAS, AAHC strives to heighten the visibility of home care services while advancing quality home care as in integral component of the health care delivery system,
WHEREAS, the AAHC is a member of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC), the nation’s largest trade association representing the interests and concerns of home care agencies, hospices, home care aide organizations and medical equipment suppliers,
WHEREAS, each November, National Home Care Month is celebrated to honor care givers who make a remarkable difference in the lives of the patients and families they serve,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Jan Brewer, Governor of the State of Arizona, do hereby proclaim the month of November as
