The biggest change to OASIS in over a decade is scheduled to be implemented in January 2010 and as stated in the Federal Register notice, changes reflected in OASIS-C are considered to be "high priority by CMS and have implications for outcome measurement, risk adjustment of outcome reports, case mix adjustment for prospective payment, data submission procedures and specifications, reporting systems, and provider paperwork burden." Who should attend:  This comprehensive training is designed for the field data collectors and their supervisors.	Coding mistakes, improper sequencing and missing codes cause denials and cost your agency time and money...Are you up to speed on the recent changes?   Need a refresher on complex scenarios? This workshop is designed specifically for intermediate and advanced coders and provides the knowledge and critical thinking skills needed to code properly. Presenter:  Sharon Molinari, RN, HCS-D, COS-C a home health veteran and consultant, is an approved Board of Medical Specialty Coding (BMSC) educator. She has earned credentials as Homecare Coding Specialist –  Diagnosis (HCS-D) and Certificate for OASIS Specialist – Clinical (COS-C). Sharon is a member of the BMSC Home Care Advisory Board and author of the Study Guide for HCS-D Certification Examinations.  She also authors continuing education programs for healthcare professionals
